The area around the Lapworth Link on the Stratford-upon-Avon Canal.
For anyone interested in seeing quite a variety of "canal locks, bridges and features" then a visit to this part of the Stratford-upon-Avon Canal is well worth considering. In the immediate area there is so much to see - barrel roof cottages, ponds, turnover bridges, wrought iron bridges, lots of locks, old canal buildings such as ex-pumphouses - with everything set in a really beautiful surroundings. There is a grass area next to the canal which has several picnic tables are also quite a few seats along the towpaths so you can sit and watch whats going on as the barges and boats work their way through the junction. There is a small car park right
at Brome Hall Lane right next to the canal - this is only large enough to take perhaps 20 cars but there are usually spaces during week-days. Put B94 5QZ onto your tomtom - this shows the location of houses immediately opposite the car park or
look at this overhead view of the area on your browser.
