The Stratford-upon-Avon Canal - from Lyons Wharf passing Shirley Aqueduct.
Yet another section of this beautiful canal offering lots to look at as you walk along the towpath to Dickens Heath.
The towpath along this part of the canal is well surfaced and often as not lined with trees and foliage so it's really enjoyable to wander along. There are quite a few bridges including a drawbridge at Shirley which is located close to Major's Green Aqueduct and it's stoplock. The original canal warehouses at Dickens Heath have been nicely re-furbished into flats and now look really picturesque.
