The Stratford-on-Avon Canal - visiting the Wilmcote Lock Flight.
Located quite close to Stratford-upon-Avon, the flight of locks at Wilmcote are spread over just under a mile and the 11 locks drop the canal down around 77 feet.
There are several nice wrought iron bridges which are quite buried in trees and foliage to start off with on this section - in fact most of the time the route down to Bottomlock is in quite beautiful countryside. The Wilmcote Flight itself starts just after Canada Bridge.

Wilmcote Village is just a fairly short stroll from the Stratford-upon-Avon Canal and can be reached by leaving the canal at Featherbed Bridge 59 (from the towpath this means crossing over the bridge). The village is most well known because it is where Mary Arden's house and farm is located - Mary Arden was William Shakespeare's mother. The village also has several nice public houses and a small church so is interesting to visit.
